FAQs

How many weddings do you book a year?

1

I only book one wedding per weekend and no more than two weddings a month at my busiest. This is to ensure that every couple I work with, regardless of package booked, has my undivided attention in the days leading up to the wedding.

How does payment work?

2

Payment for all packages are 30% retainer upon contract signing and the remaining 70% is payable as per a payment schedule we agree upon upfront. My only condition is that full payment is received at least two weeks before the event.

Looks like you handle everything! Is that true?

3

Not really. Services not included in any of the packages are :

  • Janitorial or trash removal services, including sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming

  • Breakdown of tables and chairs

  • Rinsing of rental items

  • Removal of lighting or drapery

  • Cleaning of bathrooms or kitchen areas

  • Valet or parking services

  • Steaming of any linens, clothing, dresses, or veils

  • Arrangement or creation of flowers, arches, centerpieces or other décor items (limited to setup of pre-assembled DIY decor items)

  • Transportation, plating, or serving of any food or drink items

  • Assembly of furniture or decor items; these must come pre-assembled

  • Set up or tear down of any audio/visual, lighting equipment, or cables

  • Decor or draping set-up requiring use of ladders

  • Coordination of fire-related activities (sparklers, fireworks, paper lanterns) except lighting candles

  • Pickup or drop-off of personal or other items to or from venue (assistance to co-ordinate & arrange for this will be provided alongside other vendor coordination services)

  • Most importantly, I am a planner and a coordinator and not a substitute for other vendors such as florists, decorators, caterers, DJs etc. My team oversees these vendors but is not directly responsible for their work.

What if our wedding is multiple days long? Or not in NYC?

4

All 3 packages include the ability to add-on support for additional days and events. For weddings outside the 5 boroughs of NYC, travel and accommodation fees may apply or we discuss you arranging the same for our team.

Do you help negotiate vendor pricing?

5

Not exactly. What I do is to use my experience to recommend vendors based on your vision and budget as well as advice you on pricing included in proposals and contracts. Unless I see a glaring omission or red flag, I do not, as a rule, negotiate with vendors.

Will you personally be at my wedding?

6

I am personally present at every wedding from start to finish. I have two trusted assistants that have worked with me for several years that act as “emergency insurance” but I am yet to miss a wedding for which I am thankful! I do this because I love weddings!
